Sandra Benitez, Principal
Sandra brings over 20 years of knowledge and experience to her Hospitality Design work. As a native of Northern California, Sandra received her degree from the UC Berkeley School of Architecture. It was while in studio that she discovered that her approach to design was very different than her school peers. “I was and have remained interested in how the interior environment affects an individual’s mood. The volume of an area, the placements of windows, selection of finish materials & lights, millwork design, and the placement of the furniture was and has remained my focus in the design process.”
Her early architecture and design career started in a prestigious San Francisco art gallery where she was associated with numerous Bay Area art guilds and museums. Her first design office experience was with a San Francisco hospitality firm where, in her words, she became “hooked on the work.” Her skills were further honed while employed at Bent Severin and Associates and Conversano Design. Both of these interior design firms specialized in luxury national and international hospitality projects.
Sandra’s strong design skills and business acumen offer clients comfort and confidence. She has the ability to research and translate the individual story and history of each project into a successful design that brings each property to life. Customized finishes, special effects and theme design are signature characteristics of Sandra’s work.
